I am a avid reader and publishing industry rookie. I love to talk about all things bookish. I was once told that everyone is a reader they just may not have found the right book yet. I want to help you find that book!

This blog's original focus was that it had none. It was an eclectic book blog, reviewing books across all genres and age groups. Since I have been blogging, however, I've realized the precedence speculative fiction takes in my reading choices. As a result this blog will primarily feature reveiws for genres under the speculative fiction umbrella. (For more information on speculative fiction click here). That being said there will still be some reviews from other genres that I am interested in or that I think are worthy of attention. Particularly Canadian literature and LGBTQ literature. Recommendations are always welcome!

Review Policy


What I Review: 
This is an eclectic book blog, was an emphasis on speculative fiction. This includes, but is not limited to science fiction, fantasy, supernatural, horror, utopia/dystopia, superhero fiction, apocalyptic/post apocalyptic, steampunk, cyber punk and alternate history. 

In addition to speculative fiction this blog is also a strong supporter of Canadian literature and LGBTQ literature. 

I maintain the right to include other genres on occasion. These genres include: Action/Adventure, Mystery, Historical Fiction, Literary Fiction, Suspense.

I review adult, young adult and middle grade titles, as long as the fit the above criteria

I maintain the right to turn down reviews.

I will accept review copies in print, ebook or audio form but print is preferred.

I do not review self published books.



What's in My Review:
Generally speaking my reviews contain a brief synopsis of the book, what I liked/disliked about it, a list of similar books.

My reviews are not a technical analysis of the books read but rather my general opinion and thoughts. They will be an honest account of what I thought about the book.

I will not give a positive review simply because you sent me the book.

Where You Can Find Them:
All reviews will be posted on this blog.

Most are scheduled in advance and can be timed to coincide with release dates or blog tours, if previously arranged.

Reviews will also be posted on Goodreads and Chapters/Indigo. I can post on Amazon if requested.

Extras:
I am open to requests for author interviews, giveaways, blog tours and other promotional events if given enough notice.
